Aunque se que no es correcto explicar
el significado de los elementos de una pieza, esta vez si lo haré,
porque son cosas muy personales y que están muy estrechamente
ligadas al proceso de creación de esta figura.
Empecemos por la figura, esta se trata
de la brujita goblin que sacó Tiny Tales Studio como figura especial
de Haloween. En principio abordé esta figura con el único propósito
de que me sirviera como des-estresante entre proyectos grandes y
complicados. Pensé en todo tipo de situaciones y ambientaciones,
ninguna me parecía bien, o eran muy típicas, o no resaltaban la
pieza o me quedaban muy monocromáticas... y un laaaargo etcétera
que cada vez que la miraba me hacia dudar más hacia donde tirar con
ella. Así que se me ocurrió plasmar ese caos, ese batiburrillo de
cosas que se te pasan por la cabeza en la creación del entorno de la
figura.
¿Que nos viene a la cabeza cuando
pensamos en brujas escribiendo? Pergamino, así que con hoja de
estaño me hice un pergamino con sus rotos, sus partes enrolladas y
como si cayera por la peana, dando lugar a una sensación del que, lo
que cuento, se sale de lo que es intrínsecamente concerniente a la
escena de la figura.
Que elementos pequeños nos vienen a la
mente pensando en brujas: verrugas, escoba y sombrero picudo, esos
elementos ya están en la figura, bien, que mas, arañas, que sería
de una escena de brujas sin alguna araña pululando o como
ingrediente de algún guiso... otra cosa, una varita, brujas y
varita??? no se, pero en el universo de Harry Potter es un elemento
común en brujas y magos. Y por último una calavera, símbolo de la
muerte y que siempre esta en una escena con brujas.
Vamos con los dibujos.
Primero, hice un marco y en cada
esquina (solo se ven dos, las otras dos estarían escondidas por el
enrollado) pongo un pentagrama, pero lo pongo del revés, como si
fuera una brujita buena, ya que huye de la típica posición que
recuerda la cabeza del macho cabrío. Lo que escribo en primer lugar
es el titulo, como veis, son unas letras raras, estas las encontré
por Internet, corresponden a un alfabeto de un juego y tenía pensado
usarlas en el orco de Galapagos Miniatures para una inscripción en
la parte trasera del estandarte, esta idea nunca la llevé a cabo
porque al final no creía que quedara bien, así que todo quedo en el
olvido, y me ha parecido curioso rescatarlo aunque sea para este
pequeño “cameo”. Thais M. en clara referencia a la dueña de la
marca. Lo siguiente que tenemos es “Sculpted by Juan Diaz Painted
by Rosman For Tiny Tales Studio”, esto es la información básica
que tenemos, funciona a modo de títulos de crédito como si de una
peli se tratara, lo que es mi nombre quedará cubierto por la figura
así no tendré problemas a la hora de presentarla. He adornado los
alrededores de los nombre con una lanceta y dos bolitas de masilla
para el escultor y un pincel y un aerografo para el pintor.
El dibujo del dragón viene por mi
afición y fascinación desde siempre por los dinosaurios, es algo
que esta presente en mi mente, y. para dotarlo de un poco de
fantasía, le represento un fuego, de tal manera que lo “dragonizo”.
Alrededor hay una serie de garabatos que bien podrían ser una
redacción escolar de la cual el “dinodragon” funciona como
ilustración, abajo encontramos la firma y el sello del profesor, en
este caso un fantasma sacando la lengua. Esto puede parecer una burla
y en verdad lo es y tiene un motivo muy personal.
Dos lineas separan un tema de otro, dos
lineas paralelas que son el paradigma de la igualdad, de la eternidad
y del discurrir en perfecta armonía.
En la parte mas inferior vemos un
árbol, y, si nos fijamos, en sus ramas están representadas las
cuatro estaciones, otoño con hojas marronaceas y anaranjadas,
invierno con él pelado, primavera con hojas verdes y flores y verano
con solo verdor, este para mi, es el árbol de la vida que refleja de
una forma mas o menos literal y metafórica el transcurrir del tiempo
y la vida. Y como en lo literal hoy en día, debido al cambio
climático o cambios cíclicos normales del planeta, la idea de las
estaciones casi es algo que ya no esta vigente, pasando de frio a
calor y de calor a frio, pongo una telaraña como si fuese un tema
viejo y de pasada cierro el circulo sobre las arañas.
Hay un último elemento y es la linea
que separa entre los “títulos de crédito” y la “redacción”,
si os fijáis, parece la típica linea troquelada que encontramos en
el papel higiénico, porque esto?? Pues eso va por todas las veces
que he mandado ideas a la m..... por no saberlas, gustarme, poder...
así que el pergamino pasa a ser en parte metafóricamente un pedazo
de rollo de papel “del váter” donde tantas y tantas ideas mas o
menos buenas se van cañería abajo.
Como veis aunque pueda parecer todo
aleatorio, caótico e inconexo realmente todo tiene su porque. Y
sobre todo esto estará la figura de la bruja, reforzando aún más
si cabe el echo de que todo lo que se ve son producto de las
múltiples reflexiones y recuerdos que me ha traído el plantearme
como abordar esta pieza.

I know that is not correct at all to
explain the meaning of a composition elements, but this time i'm gona
do it, because all are personal topics wich are so linked to all the
figure's creation process.
I begin with the miniature, it is the
goblin witch which was especially released on Halloween by Tiny Tales
Studio. In the begining i take that piece with the only purpose to be
a desestresante between bigger an more complicated projects. I thoght
in all kind of situations and enviroments and no one fits in my mind
idea, they were so tipical, or the pice doesn't seem visible or the
color chose was so monochrom... and a loooong etceteras which make me
doubt more and more what to do with the mini. Then an idea appered,
why not to show that caos which was on my mind in the enviroment's
creation process.
What do you think when witch in a
writing material? Parchment, then with stain foil i do a parchment
with little breakes, rolled parts and as it falls along the pedestal,
giving an idea of the felling that which apeares on it is something
bigger than what is representate in the ambience of the figure
itself.
Which small elements are related to
witches? Warts, broom and pointed hat, that elements are already in
the figure, ok, what else, spiders, there is not a witchy scene
without spiders in the ambience or as part of a stew... other thing,
a magic wand, witches and magic wands??? i don't know, but in the
Harry Potter's univers it is a thing that is in comon between all
witches and magizians. And for last, an skull, sign of death, and
ever there is in a witchy scene.
Lets begin with the drawings.
First i do a frame and in every corner
(onlu in two because the other are hide in the roll part) i put a
pentagram, but inverted, as it was a good witch, because it doesn't
show the tipical position which seems the goat. What i write first is
the title, as you could see, strange letters forme it, they are form
an abecedary of a game i found in internet, and i have had plans
withe it for the Galapagos Miniatures' orc i paint a few ago. I
wanted to do a inscription in the banner but when i was painting it i
thought better and didn't use it. Then i thought a good idea to
retake it and use in that little figure. Thais M in reference of the
owner of the brand. The next we could read is “Sculpted by Juan
Diaz Painted by Rosman for Tiny Tales Studio”, that is the basical
information i have, it works as credit titles as it was a film, My
name will be covered by the miniature, then i will not have any
problems to introduce it into contests. I've done a sculpting tool
and two balls of putty for the sculptor and an airbrush an a normal
brush for the painter.
The dragon picture comes from my hobby
and fascination about dinosaurs, that is something what is in my
mind, and to give a more fantastic look i painted a fire, in that way
i give a more dragon look. Around there are some witings as they were
part of a school work in which de dinodragon works as a illustration.
In the botom of that part you can find the signature and the techers
stamp. It could be seen as a joke and it is what realy means it has a
so personal meaning,
Two lines divede one topic to the
other, two paralel lines which are the paradigm of the equality, of
the eternity and to be in an armonic perfection.
In the most btom part you se a tree,
and if you stare to it, in it's branches you colud see the
representation of the four seasons, fall with orang and brown leaves,
winter with it complitly nude, in spring green leaves and flowers and
in summer only green. For me, it is the tree of life which represents
in a more literal or mathaforic way, more or less the time and living
passing. And in the literal part, nowadays, with the climatic changes
and or normal planetary changes, the topic of seasons is
disappearing, going fron warm to cold and from cold to warm. To
represent that i use a spider web giving an old look to the seasons
and giving more elements to the spiders.
There is a last element, the line which
separates the “title credits” and the school work, if you se it
well, it semms the tipical blank line you could see in the toilet
paper, why i add this?? it is for alla the times i send to s...
projects, because i don't know how to do, like, could... then the
parcment changes methaforically into a toilet paper in which loads
and loads of ideas are “thrown in the pipes”.
As you could se all could be randomly
done, chaotical and without conection, but all have it's meaning. And
on the top of that will be the witch giving strong to the fact that
all that feeling have appeared in the proces of painting it.
